Joe Leonard is one of the founding Members of Oakmont Capital Services. Joe’s Primary function is to oversee the sales and financial management of Oakmont Capital. Joe has extensive experience on both sides of the desk, having entered the equipment finance marketplace in 1985. Joe has owned and operated several companies since that time including a Bauxite mine, a packaging company and a spring water bottling company.

Joe began in equipment financing and leasing in 1985 as a Service Manager for Mita Leasing Corp. Joe quickly rose through the ranks and left the company in 1988 as a Regional sales Manager to form Can-Am Absorbents Co., Inc. an Arkansas based mining company. Can-Am was sold in 1996. Joe went on to form Spring Hope Water Company, a bottler of spring water in Bedford, PA. That company was sold in 1998. At that point, Joe re-entered the equipment finance market place where he met up with Megan Zoba of Preferred Business Leasing. Joe and Megan worked together from 1998 through 2003. From That point forward, Joe grew JPL Capital into an originator of $6.0-$8.0MM of annual financing transactions.

Joe is a graduate of Penn State University and is active in many professional and business groups.

Joe’s responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the required due diligence on all credit requests above $100,000.
  • Performing all duties associated with the financial management of the business.
  • Communicating with Oakmont Capital’s funding partners regarding the status and performance of Oakmont Capital’s portfolios.
  • Communicating with clients and vendors regarding current and future financing opportunities
  • Overseeing all aspects of the sales and marketing efforts.
  • Recruiting new vendors and business development personnel.
  • Ensuring that Oakmont Capital Services maintains the highest ethical and performance standards within the industry.
  • Prior to co-founding Oakmont Capital Services, LLC, Joe was the Managing Member of JPL Capital LLC d/b/a Oakmont Capital
  • Services. Joe formed this entity in 2002 after running it as a sole proprietorship from 1998. JPL Capital laid the groundwork for what Oakmont Capital Services LLC is today.

Megan Zoba

Megan Zoba is one of the founding Members of Oakmont Capital Services. She oversees the day to day back office (credit, documentation, and funding) operations of Oakmont Capital Services. Megan chose equipment financing and leasing as a career in 1991. As a partner in Oakmont Capital Services, Megan is the active participant in setting and administering tactical and strategic goals for the company. Megan’s extensive experience in managing the back office functions has proven critical to Oakmont Capital’s success.

Prior to co-founding Oakmont Capital Services, LLC, Megan was the principle of Preferred Business Leasing, Inc. Megan formed Preferred Business Leasing in 1996 and set the company up as an equipment finance and lease brokerage that primarily services the equipment financing needs of vendors. Megan’s finance career began in 1991 as a Broker Manager for Corporate Capital Leasing. She honed her skills while working the credit and funding desk and pioneered the use the of the Pegasus Program, a system that streamlined the origination and processing of equipment lease transactions for funding sources such as GE Capital and Colonial Pacific Leasing.

Megan is a graduate of Immaculata College and is active in her children’s school and after school pursuits.

Megan’s responsibilities include

  • Coordinating the required due diligence on all credit requests less than $100,000.
  • Packaging credit requests based upon the protocol of the various funding partners of Oakmont Capital Services.
  • Communicating daily with Oakmont Capital’s Business Development personnel in regards to transaction status and follow up request.
  • Communicating daily with Oakmont Capital’s funding partners regarding the credit and funding status of open transactions.
  • Communicating with clients, vendors, insurance agents and all other parties associated with open transactions.
  • Updating credit parameters and disseminating funding partner parameters to Oakmont’s BDO’s.

Daryn Lecy, CLFP, MBA

Daryn Lecy is a veteran industry executive with extensive operational and management experience. Daryn brings to Oakmont the experience of helping lead the growth of a $140MM portfolio to $1.2B while partnering to manage over 150 employees. Daryn has experience in strategic planning, credit, business development, creative and customized financing programs, syndications, third-party funding relationships, technology initiatives, employee management and development. Daryn is excited to bring his experience to a solid organization to work alongside a great team of dedicated employees and to join the dynamic leadership team!

Prior to joining Oakmont Capital, Daryn worked 14 years at Stearns Bank N.A. Equipment Finance Division. Daryn started there as a credit analyst while finishing his MBA and moved into management a couple years later, taking over the role of VP of Operations in 2007. Daryn oversaw operations of the $1.2MM division and along with his General Manager, jointly managed a team of over 150 employees. Prior to Stearns, Daryn worked for Prudential Financial and Wells Fargo Bank.

Daryn received his undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and completed his MBA at St. Cloud State University. Daryn, along with his wonderful wife, Jen, and their three kids live in central Minnesota.

Daryn’s responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with funding sources, debt management, and syndications
  • Participate in strategic planning and direction with Oakmont Capital Leadership Team
  • Overseeing operational and technology initiatives for Oakmont Capital
  • Assisting operational teams with process review and enhancements

Jim started at Stearns Bank as an account manager and held many roles during his time there including client relations, business development, third-party origination, equipment valuations, off-lease equipment sales and VP/ Sales Manager.

Kayla Perlinger, CLFP is an experienced equipment finance professional with wide-ranging industry knowledge. As Vice President of Syndications, Kayla oversees the sell desk at Oakmont Capital Services, establishes new partnerships, and further develops existing syndication relationships. She is also highly active in data analysis, technological initiatives, risk management, and streamlining processes.

Kayla graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. As a dedicated participant in the equipment finance industry, she earned her Certified Lease Finance Professional (CLFP) designation in 2016, and is currently a committee member for the Chris Walker Education Foundation. Kayla is an advocate for self-development, committed to continuing education, and has a strong interest in technological advancements.


Bill Chandlee

Formerly a Credit Analyst at Wells Fargo Auto Finance, and later transitioning to a specialty in heavy equipment financing, Bill Chandlee has served the financial industry for 15 years. He has experience with numerous facets of credit and financing, including roles as analyst, admin support, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer service.

Bill studied Business Management at Pennsylvania State University and Strayer University, and has been a Pennsylvania Notary Public for the past 8 years.

Mikki Henkelman, CLFP

As Credit Manager, Mikki will oversee the credit department as well as assist with process implementation and risk management.

Mikki Studied Finance at Minnesota State University, Moorhead with a minor in communications and has had her CLFP since January 2016.

Jen was an integral part of developing and implementing the CRM system, currently oversees documentation and assists with funding. Jen has been commissioned a Pennsylvania Notary Public since 2014.

In her free time, Jen enjoys spending time with her 2 young children and cheering on the Philadelphia Flyers.

Amanda has been in the customer service industry for 15 years, with 8 years of experience in the financial sector. Upon graduating from Elizabethtown College with a bachelor’s degree in History, Amanda worked as a Lead Teller at Wachovia/Wells Fargo and as a Teller Supervisor and Operations Manager with Susquehanna /BB&T Bank. Amanda worked with many retail and commercial customers to help ensure their financial growth and stability.

In 2016, Amanda came to Oakmont Capital as a Credit Analyst. She is responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information for customers looking for equipment financing and working capital to help their businesses grow.

Clay has been a finance/banking professional since graduating from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 2012. Clay previously worked with Stearns Bank, starting as a credit analyst and advancing to Sr. Credit Analyst, and holding a $350K approval limit, among other responsibilities. Most recently, he worked with a community bank as a commercial loan officer, gaining experience with lending, sales, and business development. In 2019, Clay obtained his CLFP certification.

Most of Amanda’s career has been spent with Stearns Bank, where she has worked in a variety of roles, with the most recent being a Senior Credit Analyst. Amanda also spent time as a Credit Analyst with Northland Capital.

Amanda is a Phi Theta Kappa graduate of St Cloud Technical College with a degree in Accounting and obtained her CLFP designation in 2019.

Tracey has helped facilitate and execute the implementation of many processes including ELT title processing, DocuSign (Electronic Signature), plus created a process to track the unique titling nuances in this industry.

Tracey is dedicated to the industry and always looking for opportunities to expand her knowledge. She completed the Dale Carnegie Training Course in 2017 and received the Highest Award for Achievement.

Robert Corse joined Oakmont Capital from Stillman Volvo, where he worked for seven years. He is experienced in commercial truck sales, traffic equipment sales, auto sales, and home mortgages. Reconnecting with previous clients and building new relationships, Robert has quickly become a commercial financing “go to” for his customers.

Jim Ellixson has had a long-standing career in the equipment finance industry. Working in sales for over 40 years, Jim has held positions with companies such as GE Credit, Xerox Finance and Webster Bank, where he helped formed the Environmental Division. Jim continued his work with Webster Bank for 26 years, retiring in 2011 from his position as Vice President of Sales of the Environmental Division.

Jim thought his career in finance had ended, but a meeting with Oakmont Capital brought him back into the world of waste related equipment financing in 2011. Since then, Jim has helped clients and vendors secure the financing they need to fuel their business growth.

Jim received a B.S. Degree in Business Management and an MBA in Finance, following a three-year stint in the Military where he was stationed in Germany.

Lou has over thirteen years of experience in the automotive and finance industries. Prior to joining Oakmont Capital in 2016, Lou worked at Landmark Automotive. He began his career as a Service Manager before quickly moving to an Operations Manager. In this role, he was responsible for the daily operations of a full-fledged dealership including customer relations, business development, marketing, and finance. From his experience in the automotive industry, Lou has made a smooth transition over to equipment financing providing customers with the same level of diligence, attention, and service they deserve.

Occupying various sales and sales manager positions, Rick’s last four and a half years were spent as a Regional Sales Manager with Commercial Credit Group on their Transportation Finance team. For the eight years prior, he served as a Regional Sales Manager with CAT Finance on their Transportation Finance team.

Rick’s goals are to extend the reach of Oakmont Capital while including the customers and dealers that he has developed relationships with over the last decade. Carrie obtained a degree in management from St. Cloud University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, coaching volleyball, and attending sporting activities to support her children.


Keara Piekanski

Keara studied Communication at the University of Pittsburgh, graduating Manga Cum Laude. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing at Villanova University.

Eric Stone

Outside of work, Eric primarily spends his time drawing, creating comics and sketches based off of his favorite animated shows.
